Chulia Lane (Chulia Lane) should not be confused with Chulia Street (Lebuh Chulia). Both roads are in the same area of George Town and intersect each other, but the former is narrower especially near the trishaw (beca) photo-op location.

Chulia Lane has many guesthouses and cafés that are geared towards backpacking tourists. One such establishment is the Pit Stop Cafe located at the corner of Chulia Lane and Market Lane (Lorong Pasar).

This café is open from 9:00am to 6:00pm, serving breakfast, light meals and beverages throughout the day.

There is outdoor seating as well, but the hot weather outside does not make it a good idea to dine outdoors at this time of the day.

The interior of the store is quite small. There are barely enough seats for 20 people. However, every inch of the store is well utilized, either as practical dining space, or to create a nostalgic, warming atmosphere.

My early dinner today is the Spaghetti Bolognese Beef (RM12.00). The spaghetti is reasonably light on the mouth, but the commendable aspect is the creamy bolognese sauce which complements well with the pasta. Finely minced beef give a sense of weight to the otherwise-simple meal.

The major low-light of the Spaghetti Bolognese Beef is its small portion with respect to price. The pricing might be OK for an average foreign tourist, but it might turn away some less-affordable locals.

The Macha Latte (RM9.00) has a strong green-tea flavor, given the strong dose of macha powder. The macha has a mild bitter taste (which I like), but it has been overwhelmed by the sweetness. Nevertheless, the milky composition and creamy texture makes it an enjoyable hot beverage nevertheless.
