Operated by a pastry chef, Dolce Dessert specializes in confections like cakes, tarts and macarons. By the way, the word “dolce” means sweet in Italian.
My slice of Longan Cake Tart (RM11.00) turns out to be a wonderful choice. Using shortcrust pastry as the base, the dessert has longans on the side and between cake layers. Not only do longans provide juiciness, they contribute to aesthetics too.
Dolce Dessert serves illy coffee. But since I am avoiding coffee today, I opted for Green Tea Latte (RM10.00) instead. The hot drink is prepared from matcha and milk. A piece of biscotti is served on the saucer. I think the drink is way too sweet for me.
As for the ambience, Dolce Dessert is reasonably relaxing. However, the dining area upstairs is quite stuffy in the evening.
