The signature dish here is Nyonya Assam Laksa With Prawn Cracker (招牌古早味槟城娘惹亚参叻沙, RM7.50). Made of mackerel, the fish broth is not as sweet as the mainstream version in Penang. It is quite sour because tamarind (asam) juice is used.
There is a choice of either traditional rice noodle (传统叻沙粉) or lai fun (濑粉). Other ingredients are pineapples, shallots, cucumber, torch ginger (姜花), lettuce and mint. I enjoy the prawn cracker with a scrumptious crisp. Consume it before it becomes too soggy.
Homemade Treasure Rolls (RM4.90) are filled with taro, sweet potato and sweet rice cakes (年糕). The deep-fried rolls are fairly crispy, but I feel they are too dry for me.
