This article is part of my 2019 Cameron Highlands trip series.

Time Tunnel (金马仑时光隧道) is an attraction along the main road between Brinchang and Kea Farm. As the only museum in Cameron Highlands, the attraction immortalizes the history of the hill station.

The exhibits in Time Tunnel are organized into chapters of Cameron Highlands’ history. The first section displays traditional hunting and fishing tools used by Orang Asli (aborigines).

Cameron Highlands was “discovered” in 1885 by William Cameron while surveying the border between Pahang and Perak. However, the first settlements were not established until 1931 with the completion of a road from Tapah.

Time Tunnel is home to countless memorabilia that have been collected over the years. If you were born before 1990, some of these relics may evoke nostalgia of your childhood memories.

Most people spend 1 or 2 hours in Time Tunnel. The admission price is RM6.00 per adult and RM4.00 per child. Ticket holders can purchase certain items from the souvenir shop at reduced prices. For instance, we bought a strawberry ice cream for RM2.00 instead of RM4.00.

Next to Time Tunnel is Melipoly Bee Gallery, one of several bee museums in Cameron Highlands. While you are here, do check out Kok Lim Strawberry Farm where you can pick your own strawberries.
