Ah Wang Cafe serves breakfast items such as toast and coffee. Ironically, the eatery is only open in the afternoon.
Most people come here for Roti Kahwin (RM2.40). The benggali bread is toasted to a nice crisp, and then halved and spread with butter and kaya. The homemade kaya has a soothing sweetness that delights my taste buds.
Half-Boiled Eggs (RM2.00) make a truly nutritious meal. Ah Wang Cafe uses 2 eggs per serving. The eggs are slightly runny and are best enjoyed with soy sauce and pepper.
Kopi Susu (RM1.20) is essentially local black coffee with condensed milk. Some people like to dip toast in their coffee, but I generally dislike mixing them together.
For many years, Ah Wang Cafe has become a household name for local residents. If you can’t have enough of the food here, you can purchase Ah Wang Cafe’s benggali bread, kaya and coffee powder to be enjoyed at home.
