Burger Bakar Kaw Kaw has several outlets around Klang Valley, but this family business started at this roadside stall in Wangsa Maju Seksyen 2.
There are 3 types of meats here: chicken, beef and lamb. In addition, there are several variations which differ in terms of ingredients like bacon and ham. For each type, it is also possible to opt for single, double or even triple patties!
The Cheezy Turkeynizer (RM18.00) consists of two chicken patties, a turkey ham and a slice of cheese. The patties are deep-fried in a coating of crispy batter. In terms of taste, the chicken patties are reasonably succulent, but not the best that I have tasted.
Next is Cheezy Baconizer (RM18.00) which includes two beef patties, strips of beef bacon and cheese. Unfortunately, I feel that the beef is not as well seasoned as it should be.
Last but not last, the Cheezy Turkeynizer (RM22.50) contains two lamb patties, turkey ham and cheese. I find that lamb to be most enjoyable meat overall, thanks to its strong flavor and mild spiciness from seasoning.
Burger Bakar Kaw Kaw uses burger buns strewn with oats. Due to liberal amount of cheesy sauce, the burgers appear sloppy. Be prepared to get your hands dirty!
I feel that Burger Bakar Kaw Kaw is an acceptable place to visit, although I don’t think it is a great place for regular meals. The burgers may be pricey, but I think the pricing is justified by the large size of each patty. Personally, I recommend the lamb patty above other meats.
