Stepping through the main entrance, we are immediately greeted by a familiar sight: a gigantic replica of DoubleTree’s cookie tin! Before taking an elevator to the hotel reception, be sure to get a selfie with this famous Doubletree icon. In case you need travel advice or transportation arrangements, the friendly concierge at the lobby is happy to help.
Hotel Reception
Meanwhile if you are driving, simply park your vehicle at the multilevel car park and take the elevator directly to the hotel reception at Level 12. Don’t forget to bring along your Touch ‘n Go card for validation. Parking is complimentary for in-house guests.

King One Bedroom Suite
DoubleTree by Hilton Melaka offers substantially more spacious rooms compared to other hotels in town. Our King One Bedroom Suite is of no exception.
The suite spans 100 square meters and can comfortably accommodate up to three guests. The living and dining areas are kept separate from the bedroom.
Spacious Living & Dining Areas
The comfortable sofa chairs are the perfect spot to lounge on. It is so tempting to curl up on the soft fabric while watching movies.
The 48-inch TV offers endless entertainment throughout the day. The TV also provides useful information like nearby attractions, weather forecast and ongoing promotions within the hotel.
Even with the extra bed that we requested, there is plenty of room for us to move around!
On the other side, there is a round dining table as well as a large office desk.
Bottled water, instant coffee and tea bags are provided. There is no shortage of beverages to quench our thirst during our stay!
But the real highlight is the sleek Nespresso machine! Just pop in a capsule, press a button, and enjoy a fresh cup of espresso within a minute!
In case you can’t find the minibar, it is concealed under the drinks counter.
Large glass windows span a substantial section of the living and dining areas. During the daytime, it is nice to draw back the curtains and allow natural sunlight to illuminate the room.
Beyond the glass panels are panoramic views of the surrounding area. The picturesque scenery is truly a sight to behold!
From the windows, the breathtaking cityscape of Malacca comes into view. It is fun to identify famous landmarks scattered throughout the historic city.
Cozy Bedroom
Moving to the bedroom, a king-size bed and plushy pillows provide the utmost comfort during our stay. Across the bed is another TV – perfect for people who love watching movies in bed.
Resting on soft linens is an adorable pair of dolls made from bath towels, adding a sweet touch to the room. Thanks to the thoughtful housekeeper!
The large wooden closets are stocked with cloth hangers, bathrobes and slippers. Clothes iron and electronic safe are also provided for the convenience of guests. As for laundry, simply put your soiled clothing into a laundry bag, fill out a form, and let the hotel staff take care of the rest!
As nighttime approaches, the cityscape transforms into a constellation of lights against the night sky.
Splendid Bathroom
If you think you cannot be more impressed by what you have seen so far, you obviously haven’t visited the spacious bathroom! This sanctuary of relaxation features a double vanity sink complete with hand soap and body lotion from Crabtree & Evelyn!
DoubleTree by Hilton Melaka spares no expense in providing personal care products like toothbrushes, mouthwash, combs and shaving kits. Such conveniences add to the welcoming feeling that defines the DoubleTree brand.
At the rainfall shower, there are more toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner and shower gel from Crabtree & Evelyn.
But the crown jewel here is undoubtedly the large bathtub near the window! Measuring almost 2 meters across, this luxurious tub can be filled with hot or cool water. Due to its immense size, it may take a while for water to fill up. Therefore, we recommend that you prepare the bathtub in advance. Please note that not all guestrooms are fitted with bathtubs, so please confirm with the hotel when you make a reservation.
After a long day exploring the city, it is rejuvenating to unwind in the bathtub while enjoying the lovely view outside! Tip: You may want to bring along several bath bombs to enhance your bathing experience!
Makan Kitchen
Makan Kitchen is the all-day dining restaurant at DoubleTree by Hilton Melaka. This is where in-house guests like us have breakfast every morning. In addition, Makan Kitchen offers full-spread buffet dinner every Friday and Saturday evening.
The dining tables in Makan Kitchen are set up to accommodate parties of all sizes. We love the wooden screens with Peranakan motifs!
There are also dining tables next to the floor-to-ceiling windows. This is great for guests who appreciate the view from high above.
Local Delights
Wake up to the aroma of a freshly brewed Teh Tarik, prepared tableside to the delight of diners!
Also enjoy the unique experience of toasting bread over hot charcoal! Be sure to flip the slice frequently or it may get charred.
Roti Bakar Kayu Arang comes with a variety of spreads. Most Malaysians enjoy a combination of kaya and butter!
Malay-Style Breakfast
Nasi Lemak is colloquially known as the national dish of Malaysia. Its popularity among Malaysians cannot be overstated!
Nasi Lemak is traditionally served with sambal, fried anchovies, roasted peanuts, hard-boiled eggs and cucumber.
Rendang Chicken is a poultry dish where chicken is cooked for hours with coconut milk and spices.
Sambal Paru also goes pretty well with Nasi Lemak. The spicy beef lungs are absolutely tender and succulent!
Meanwhile, Nasi Hujan Panas can be enjoyed with classic Malay dishes like Ayam Goreng Berempah and Kambing Kurma.
