This Ramadan, gather your family and friends for a heartwarming ‘Jom Balik Kampung‘ Ramadan buffet dinner at at The Westin Kuala Lumpur . Available from 4 March 2025 to 28 March 2025, this extensive iftar buffet promises a delightful culinary journey filled with traditional flavors and nostalgic aromas.
Dinner is served at The Living Room, the hotel’s all-day dining outlet. The restaurant decorated with vibrant festive colors, including elements of ‘kampung’ (village) life in line with the buffet theme. Meanwhile, the culinary team is led by the hotel’s newly appointed Executive Chef, Arfizan Rahim.
Appetizers
It is customary for Muslims to break fast by taking some kurma (dates). Several varieties are provided.
It is also common to consume a warm bowl of bubur lambuk. The rice porridge is infused with meat stock and spices.
Roasts
Kambing Golek Balik Pulau
Starting at the carving station, the Kambing Golek Balik Pulau is impossible to overlook! The whole lamb is marinated with aromatic spices, and then slow-roasted for two hours until it becomes tender and flavorful.
Nasi Briyani Utara
The lamb is best paired with Nasi Briyani Utara, an aromatic rice dish hailing from northern Malaysia. Cashew nuts and sultanas provide additional flavors to this appetizing dish.
Rendang Daging Bakar
This innovative dish combines the rich flavors of rendang with smoky char from the grill.
Salmon Bakar Kuala Perlis
As for fish, the salmon fillet is grilled gently to ensure that it remains moist and tender at the center.
Grilled Oysters
Discover a surprising fusion of flavors this Ramadan! Western-style grilled oysters are flavored with local flavors such as rendang, percik and asam pedas. Which one is your favorite type?
Flavorful Soups
Experience the warmth of traditional Malaysian soups, which are great for breaking fast and inducing appetite.
Choices this evening are Sup Kambing Gearbox, Sup Tulang Rusuk, Sup Ekor Lembu, Sup Lidah and Sup Kaki Ayam. There is a comforting bowl for every palate.

This Durian Cheese Cake is a must-try! Aromatic durian paste complements the rich taste of cheesecake, resulting in a complex and satisfying flavor profile!
The Banana Gula Melaka Cake is also highly recommended. The cake’s uniqueness lies in the harmonious blend of its two key ingredients.
