There is a peculiar café at Jalan Zainal Abidin called The Lightbulb. The shop is just opposite of Phoenix One Restaurant.
As the name implies, the café features light bulbs prominently in its decor. The lighting is quite mesmerizing after sunset.
Besides serving coffee, The Lightbulb also serves Western dishes. I ordered Rolling In The Light (RM17.00), which is grilled chicken roulade. Side items are steamed vegetables and roasted potatoes. I think the gravy appears disconnected from the roulade.
As for beverage, I ordered a chocolate ice-blended drink called Beauty & The Beast (RM17.00). The taste is rather mild because the drink is rather diluted.
While The Lightbulb affords a nice atmosphere, I am not too impressed by the food here. In my opinion, the menu is grossly overpriced given the food quality.
