Today, I am having lunch at Khee Hiang Claypot (奇香砂煲馆) in George Town. The shop is located at Rangoon Road (Jalan Rangoon) in George Town, right next to Wong Chau Jun Restaurant (王昭君小食馆).
Khee Hiang Claypot specializes in all kinds of claypot dishes. Food is usually served in individual portions. While noodles are the main focus, rice dishes are available too.
Claypot Siam Soup Noodles (砂煲暹汤面, RM8.90) are served with prawns, fish balls and squids. There are several types of noodles to choose from; I opted for koay teow kia (小粿条). The soup is so spicy that it is numbing.
My meal is acceptable but I would have enjoyed more if the soup were not so spicy. By the way, Khee Hiang Claypot has another outlet at The One in Bayan Baru.
