Jalan Kek Chuan is known for a row of 9 colorful shophouses. Soul Café is one of the occupants here.
Soul Café claims to be the first photography-themed café in Penang. Throughout the dining area are many cameras that serve as ornaments.
Today’s lunch is Linguine Al Carbonara (RM15.90). The pasta dish uses a thick sauce prepared from eggs, cream and cheese. The linguine is also served with bacon and mushrooms. Black pepper and other spices give the dish a lovely touch.
Rocky Road Homemade Ice Cream (RM5.00) is essentially vanilla ice cream dotted with raisins and oatmeal. I love the soothing sweetness that the ice cream imparts on the tongue.
The nice food and ambience at Soul Café make it one of the best eateries around. I am looking forward to visiting Soul Café again soon.
