Big Ben George Town is a breakfast eatery at Bishop Street. It is across the street from UOB bank and is next to Xi Meng Ding (西门町). Big Ben used to operate at Kedai Kopi Lam Ah at Chulia Street (Lebuh Chulia). Despite similar names, Big Ben George Town is unrelated to Big Ben Breakfast & Western Cafe near Penang Botanic Gardens.
The Big Ben Set (RM9.90) is a breakfast platter which comprises of bacon, ham, sausage, fried egg, baked beans, tomato and toast. The overall taste is acceptable but the food is not particularly special. At least, the restaurant’s pricing is reasonable.
As for drinks, I asked for Local White Coffee (RM2.50). Prepared from instant coffee, I feel that the drink is way too sweet. Perhaps the coffee would be nicer if it were watered down.
