During our recent trip to Kuala Lumpur, we have the opportunity to drop by Four Points KLCC and savor the new Express Lunch Set at Sichuan Kitchen.
Sichuan Kitchen offers a serene escape amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. One can find peace and tranquility while enjoying authentic flavors of Sichuan.
Express Lunch Set
The main dish choices are:
- Fried Lamb With Cumin, Served With Rice
- Minced Chicken & Mushroom Noodle

- Braised Beef With Potato, Served With Rice
Each set includes a serving of fresh vegetables and endless flow of side dishes, soup, desserts and drinks. With an array of choices, Sichuan Kitchen’s special lunch set is craved to satisfy any palate.
Today, the beverage of the day is luo han guo herbal tea. It is the perfect drink to cool down and cleanse the body.
The fresh vegetable is blanched baby bok choy. Dressed with soy sauce and sesame oil, the tender veggie is a perfect palate cleanser.
The soup and side dish may vary from day to day.
Today’s highlight is the cold jellyfish salad. Its zesty flavor helps to reduce greasiness and aid digestion.
Also served is a comforting bowl of chicken soup containing carrots and corn. The broth is rich and flavorful.
Fried Lamb with Cumin
If you enjoy lamb, this dish is a must-try. It is certainly one of my personal favorites!
The lamb has the perfect blend of spices which explodes marvelously in the mouth. The presence of cumin enhances the incredibly tender lamb chunks.
The flavorful lamb complements the delightful freshness of mango sago dessert.
Minced Chicken & Mushroom Noodle
This is another recommended dish. The noodle used us da-lu-mian, which derives its name from the thick sauce that is “poured’ over it.
This dish features locally sourced free-range chicken. Paired with fresh shiitake mushrooms, the dish presents an appetizing combination of flavors.
Da-lu-mian is springy and chewy, making it the right choice of noodle for this satisfying dish. It is truly a treat for the taste buds.
