Today, we are visiting Hotel Indigo Kuala Lumpur on the Park, a luxurious boutique hotel at the foothill of Bukit Nanas. As part of Chinese New Year celebrations, the hotel lobby is transformed into a springtime spectacle, with vibrant cherry blossom trees heralding the Year of the Snake.
A hallmark of the Hotel Indigo’s design is its adoption of elements from the surrounding neighborhood. From the architectural details reminiscent of old shophouses to the natural motifs inspired by the Kuala Lumpur Forest Eco Park, every corner and cranny of the hotel invites exploration.
The Silver Monkey
The Silver Monkey is one of the two restaurants of Hotel Indigo Kuala Lumpur. Perched on the 24th floor of the hotel, The Silver Monkey offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Kuala Lumpur skyline, including iconic landmarks like the KL Tower and Merdeka 118.
The restaurant is named after the silvery lutung, a primate native to Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve. As you dine, discover artistic representations of these captivating creatures in the form of sculptures and photographs.
Serving as a steakhouse, The Silver Monkey presents an à la carte menu of tantalizing barbecued meats, complemented by an assortment of small plates, sides and desserts.
The restaurant’s design takes full advantage of scenic views of the surrounding, with most tables placed alongside the windows. Meanwhile, an outdoor terrace provides al fresco dining experience for those who prefer the natural breeze.
There is also a chic bar and wine cellar stocked with alcoholic beverages. In the evening, the bar area provides unparalleled views of the picturesque sunset over the cityscape.
Blossom of Prosperity
For the upcoming Chinese New Year, The Silver Monkey is serving festive meals in buffet style, themed “Blossom of Prosperity”. A key figure behind the menu is Sous Chef Anas Syafiq.
