Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur presents the “Sajian Istana” buffet dinner this Ramadan, offering guests an iftar experience worthy of royalty. From 3 March 2025 to 30 March 2025, diners have the opportunity to indulge in a lavish buffet at JPteres, where the ambiance captures the grandeur of a royal dining hall.

Palatial Setting
The opulent theme of the feast is brought to life through lavish decorations throughout the restaurant. At the entrance, two palace guards with tombak (spears) welcome arriving guests of honor.

Throughout the evening, the ambience is filled with captivating Gamelan performance. The symphony of layered melodies and hypnotic rhythms create a truly mesmerizing experience.

Traditional dance performances further elevate the cultural depth and vibrancy of the feast.

Guests can choose to dine indoors or outdoors. The indoor dining area offers a quieter setting, while the sheltered outdoor section provides a livelier atmosphere.

Menu Highlights
Kambing Bakar Masak Merah 69
The lamb is grilled to perfection and is delightfully tender. Meanwhile, the accompanying biryani rice is aromatic and fills the mouth with bursting flavor of spices.

Iga Bakar Bali
Another recommended dish this evening is Iga Bakar Bali. The beef ribs are seasoned with traditional Balinese spices and marinated for several hours.

The interplay of tender lean meat and juicy fat delivers a satisfying dining experience. For the best enjoyment of Iga Bakar Bali, pair it with roasted garlic and sambal matah.

Sambal matah is a traditional Balinese relish. This zesty condiment is made of finely chopped shallots, lemongrass, bird’s eye chilies and lime juice.

Abang Botak Sup Power
Bubur Lambuk is served here. The rice porridge is essential when breaking fast in the evening.

Sup Gear Box features a large beef knuckle. Adventurous diners can also add oxtail, beef tongue, tripes and offal into the soup.

Kawah Dishes
Daging Pesamah Diraja Perak is a traditional dish similar in style to rendang.

Hailing from Kelantan, Ketupat Sotong features squids stuffed with glutinous rice and simmered in coconut milk. The gravy is sweet because it contains gula melaka (palm sugar).

Originally an Indonesian dish, Opor Ayam Kacang has been adapted to the local palate by incorporating peanuts into the recipe.

At the Indian section, the signature dishes from each state underscores the culinary diversity of the subcontinent.

Tandoor Oven
Hot from the tandoor oven are Naan, Recheado Mackerel and Tandoor Vegetables.

Panipuri
Panipuri is one of the main highlights this evening. Made from semolina, the “puri” balls are deep-fried so that they become crispy and puffy.

These hollow shells are then filled with spiced potatoes, chickpeas and onions.

Pani is typically served with flavored water called “pani”. There are two types: khatta meetha pani and theeka pani.

The combination of pani and puri creates a burst of contrasting flavors within a single bite. We cannot recommend Panipuri highly enough!

Chinese Cuisine
JP Signature Chicken Rice
Did you know that JPteres is renowned for its chicken rice?

The chicken is perfectly roasted with the skin crisped to golden perfection. Meanwhile, the meat inside remains tender and juicy.

The accompanying rice is infused with chicken broth, enhancing its aroma and savory appeal. Served with zesty chili sauce and minced ginger, this poultry dish creates a perfect harmony of flavors.

If you enjoy the JP Signature Chicken Rice as we did, be sure to meet the mastermind behind this lovely dish: Sous Chef Omar.
