From 8 May to 1 June 2025, Sedap Restaurant at Pullman KLCC Hotel & Residences will transport diners through six centuries of Peranakan heritage with its Peranakan On Plate dinner buffet. This culinary event highlights Baba Nyonya cuisine’s rich heritage—a harmonious blend of Chinese and Malay cultures alongside Indonesian influences. Each dish features generations-old recipes preserved by Madam Luan Neo, a revered Malaccan matriarch and active member of the Persatuan Peranakan Baba Nyonya Kuala Lumpur & Selangor (PPBNKLS).

The buffet presents an extraordinary opportunity to savor authentic heirloom dishes that tell the story of the Baba Nyonya community. Among the standout offerings are Madam Luan Neo’s signature Ayam Pongteh served with soft lotus leaf buns, the aromatic Nyonya Steamed Fish with Buah Keluak, and the beloved Pang Susi sweet potato buns.

The signature Ayam Pongteh reimagines a classic Nyonya chicken stew, where tender pieces are first pan-fried for depth, then simmered with Malacca’s distinctive palm sugar—yielding a rich, smoky-sweet sauce with caramelized toffee notes.
