Operating since November 2021, Mercure Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie is one of Accor’s newest hotels in Malaysia. The hotel is strategically located next to the Hicom-Glenmarie Industrial Park, and is a mere 15-minute drive from Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (Subang Airport). Although Mercure Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie attracts mostly corporate clientele, it is also a popular choice for holidaymakers thanks to its family-friendly vibe.

Design Concept

The lobby of Mercure Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie is unique indeed. The interior design draws inspiration from academia, channeling the energy of campus life into the spacious hall.

At the reception area, comfortable seats allow arriving guests to rest their feet while waiting to be checked in. There are real books on bookshelves, further evoking the ambience of college libraries.

The large cello in front of Warna pays homage to the creative expression of music academies.

The columns here are embossed with alphabet “riddles,” adding a touch of intellectual whimsy to the varsity theme.

Privilege Room

Our room type is the Privilege Room with a queen-size bed. Guests can also opt for two single beds instead.

Next to the window is a cozy couch that offers a comfortable spot to relax on. Our room is located on Level 6, so we are able to enjoy nice views through the window.

True to Mercure’s #InspiredLocally ethos, every guestroom features a cartoon painting by Penang artist Reggie Lee. These works of art celebrate the Malaysian culture in a light-hearted manner, filling the air with nostalgia and local charm.

The Privilege Room features an espresso machine and coffee capsules that are replenished daily. There is also an electric kettle to brew tea.

A mini-fridge and two glass bottles of drinking water are provided too. For Privilege Room and above, the drinks in the mini-fridge are restocked every day.

Our stay includes a welcome card and four mini bottles of treats.

Unwind with your favorite drinks and snacks while watching movies on the 55-inch Smart LED TV!

Can’t find the in-room safe? It is hidden within a bedside drawer. This is the first time we see such creative use of space!

The spacious bathroom features a rain shower (left) and separate toilet (right), with a well-lit sink and dressing mirror at the center.

A hair dryer and basic toiletries are provided.

Our Privilege Room features personal care products from Elemental Herbology, a skincare brand renowned for its eco-friendly philosophy.

If relaxing in a bathtub is on your holiday checklist, consider upgrading your room to a Suite.

Holidaying with a toddler? The housekeeping staff can set up a baby crib in the room upon request. This arrangement works best when you are staying in a Suite.

Swimming Pool

The hotel’s swimming pool is located on the rooftop at Level 13.

On a hot afternoon, why not take a dip in its crystal blue waters?

As for children, there is a separate wading pool where the water is much shallower.

Pool towels are provided. The changing room is located nearby.

If you prefer to stay dry, there are also sun loungers on the pool deck. Don’t worry, there are overhead sails to keep the place cool and shaded.

Gymnasium

The hotel gym is well equipped with exercise machines, dumbbells and gym balls.

Drinking water and towels are provided. Remember to keep yourself hydrated while you work out.

Urban@13 Rooftop Bar

During your stay, do make plans to visit Urban@13 Rooftop Bar in the evening.

Open from 5:00pm to midnight, this chic bar provides a cozy setting spot to unwind after a busy day.

Urban@13 Rooftop Bar serves light bites and beverages including alcoholic ones.

Be sure to try the hotel’s signature mocktail, the Renantanda!

Step outside to the open-air section and enjoy the serene escape from the city. The view here is quite scenic!

Next to it, the green terrace is perfect for hosting private parties and product launches.

The hotel takes advantage of natural sunlight to reduce the need for artificial lighting.

You may want to catch the sunset view from here.

Wonder why Mercure Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie has 13 floors only? This is because the hotel is near the airport!

Hotel Breakfast

Warna is the hotel’s all-day dining outlet. The restaurant offers a wide range of dining options ranging from set lunches and themed buffets. The dishes here are crafted to reflect the Malaysia’s rich multicultural heritage, aligning with Mercure’s #InspiredLocally philosophy.

There is a “tuk-tuk” in the middle of the dining hall that also serves as an additional food counter. What an interesting idea!

There are also semi-private and private dining rooms for guests who need some privacy.
