For today’s breakfast, I visited Tang Xi Coffee Shop (唐禧茶室) at Siam Road (Jalan Siam). This local eatery is right next to Siam Road Char Koay Teow. The signature dishes here are Curry Prawns (咖哩虾), Koay Teow Soup (粿条汤) and Toasted Bread (炭烧面包).
I ordered a bowl of Tang Xi Noodle (RM8.00). The serving of Maggi instant noodle comes with a large white prawn, a sausage and an egg. The prawn is fresh and crunchy. Overall, the taste is fairly good.
However, table service at Tang Xi Coffee Shop is miserably slow. Customers’ orders are backed up for almost 30 minutes. Nevertheless, I am curious to try Curry Prawns and Ho Kar Sai (虎咬狮) during my next visit.
