Kontiki is a Polynesian-theme dining outlet in The Federal Kuala Lumpur. The restaurant serves a combination of Asian and Western flavors with special emphasis on barbecue.
In conjunction with the Muslim month of Ramadan, Kontiki is offering Selera Kampung Tiki for take-away and delivery. The festive menu has 8 set meals, each highlighting the forte of each chef.
Customers can opt for the 
Selera Kampung Tiki half set (RM68.00 net including delivery) which feeds 2 to 3 people, or the Selera Kampung Tiki full set (RM118.00 including delivery) for 4 to 6 people.
Shown here is a half set of Set 1. The meal comprises of Federal yellow glutinous rice, rendang, acar rampai berempah, kerabu ayam, mango pudding, buah kurma (sweet palm dates) and bottled fruit juice.
Customers who choose Set 1 have a choice of either chicken, beef or mutton rendang; we opted for chicken. Marinated with spices, the poultry dish is immensely flavorful.
Acar rampai berempah consists of julienned carrot and cucumber pickled with vinegar and spices. The dish is quite soggy; it would be nice if the vegetables were crunchier.
Kerabu ayam is a spicy salad of shredded chicken and fiery spices. The amount of chicken is generous indeed!
Next in line is a half set of Set 3. The meal contains Chef Fitri bukhari rice, lamb leg, vegetable curry, kerabu kacang botol, mango payasam, buah kurma and bottled fruit juice.
Chef Fitri bukhari rice is cooked with stock and spices, making it delightfully tasty. The rice dish also contains sultana raisins, chili peppers, onions and fried shallots.
The lamb leg is roasted to perfection. The meat remains juicy and tender especially with a squeeze of lime. The mint raita also help to accentuate the succulent lamb flavor.
Vegetable curry is reasonably creamy thanks to coconut milk. Besides assorted vegetables, the curry includes tofu too.
Kerabu kacang botol contains winged beans, cherry tomatoes, shallots and minced chicken. The side dish is extremely spicy due to the presence of cili padi (bird’s eye chili).
Selera Kampung Tiki is offered from 24 April 2020 to 25 May 2020. Customers can order either half set and or full set through Fave. Delivery is limited to Klang Valley only.
