For Ramadan 2025, the buffet theme at Dorsett Grand Subang is “Aroma Nusantara“. As the name implies, the menu takes diners on a culinary journey through the Malay Archipelago.

Like previous years, the buffet dinner is served at Melati Floor (mezzanine level). The buffet spread covers both indoor and outdoor sections.

Let’s begin our gastronomic journey with the outdoor section, where food is served through “gerai-gerai” (food stalls) in a bazaar-like atmosphere.

Kambing Panggang
The whole lamb is marinated with a special blend of spices and roasted to golden perfection.

Arabic Corner
Kambing Bakar goes well with Mandy Arabic Rice. This rice dish is bursting with Middle Eastern flavors.

Aneka Pilihan Soup
Another enticing attraction is Sup Gear Box. The soup is saturated with savory flavors, making it perfect in inducing appetite.

Satay
Enjoy mouthwatering satay hot from the charcoal grill. There are beef and chicken versions.

Satay is usually enjoyed with kuah kacang (sweet peanut sauce), nasi impit (pressed rice), onions and cucumbers.

BBQ & Grill
Also emerging from the charcoal grill are smoky chunks of chicken and fish. Air asam (tamarind sauce) and sambal kicap (spicy soy sauce) are provided as condiments.

Ikan Kukus
A special highlight this year is Ikan Kukus (steamed fish). There are two types of fish to choose from: red snapper and ikan patin.

Enjoy the fish while they are piping hot from the steamer! Dress the fish with coriander and sauce (soy sauce or spicy bean sauce).

Aneka Mi
The noodle dish will be rotated during Ramadan. For today, Mee Rebus is served.

Variasi Pasta
If you are fond of Italian pasta, check out the pasta dishes here!

Pasta choices are spaghetti, fettuccine and penne. Available sauces are bolognese, marinara, and carbonara.

Shawarma
Shawarma is another crowd favorite. This Middle Eastern snack is prepared by roasting chicken on a vertical spit.

As the outer layer becomes cooked, chicken is sliced off the block and stuffed into chewy pita bread. Delicious!

Tempura
Enjoy tempura while the fritters are still hot from the fryer. There are several types of vegetable fillings to choose from.

Goreng-Gorengan
If you enjoy fried foods, you should also check out the Goreng-Gorengan stall. My favorite item here is keropok lekor. Which is yours?

Appetizers
Let’s move indoors and start with a tour on appetizers!
Ulam-Ulaman Desa & Sambal
The raw vegetables are served on a wooden boat, just like the one we saw during Christmas recently!

Ulam-ulaman are often eaten with condiments like sambal belacan, cincalok and budu.

Bubur Lambuk
Bubur Lambuk is traditionally served during Ramadan. Muslims usually break fast by having a serving of this flavorful rice porridge.

Lemang & Ketupat
Lemang and ketupat are typically eaten with serunding (meat floss).

Seafood On Ice
Chilled seafood is served on a cool-looking speedboat!

Hot Dishes
An array of dishes from various cuisines awaits hungry diners.

Kaunter Sup
Moving on to the soup counter, there are Minestrone Soup and Sup Ayam. Bread rolls are provided too.

Desserts
Enjoy the wide selection of desserts ranging from Malay kuih to Western confections. There is always something to delight every palate.

Beverages
Teh Tarik is widely enjoyed by Malaysians that it is unofficially called the “national drink”. In addition, there are also coffee and Nescafe versions of this popular drink.
