This article is part of our Christmas 2025 series.
This upcoming Christmas, Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur invites guests to step into a world of refined dining. The hotel has crafted a celebration where luxurious feasts meet timeless tradition.
Festive Wonder Stay Package
Guests who book at least two nights between 1 December 2025 and 11 January 2026 can enjoy fantastic perks, including daily breakfast (2 adults and 1 child), a festive in-room amenity, access to the Little Explorer Club letters to Santa postcards upon check-in, photo opportunity at Santa’s Workshop and a choice of a festive activity (Gingerbread Cookie Making, Festive Ice Skating, or a complimentary drink at Mesa on 51).

Christmas Extravaganza
This evening, Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur offers a preview of the festive buffet that will be served on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Let’s get a sneak peek at the lavish delicacies that the festive menu will offer. Please note that this is just small fraction of the actual feast to come!

Beef Tomahawk
The Beef Tomahawk is grilled over open flames à la Japanese robata technique, sealing in rich flavors while forming a perfectly charred crust.

The beautifully marbled ribeye steak is then glazed with sweet and savory glaze, making it tantalizing to the last morsel.

Upon slicing, the Beef Tomahawk reveals its juicy pink center — tender and succulent with natural jus. What a sight to behold!

Of course, a good serving of steak should be paired with condiments — the Beef Tomahawk here is no exception. Enjoy the beef with mushroom sauce, Dijon mustard, Pommery mustard, chimichurri or horseradish cream.

In addition, sides items include roasted sweet potatoes, carrots, Brussels sprouts, asparagus and tomatoes on the vine.

Oceanic Delights
The ice sculpture showcases a mouthwatering medley of marine delicacies. Seafood lovers can indulge in slipper lobsters, mud crabs, prawns, scallops and blue mussels.

The fresh oysters are sourced from the pristine waters of Venice and France. You cannot savor oysters any fresher than freshly-shucked ones!

Several dipping sauces are prepared to be enjoyed with chilled seafood.

Nyonya Laksa
The Nyonya Laksa is a signature of Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur, warranting its inclusion in the yuletide-themed menu.

The curry is thick, creamy and rich in flavors. It is prepared from an aromatic blend of spices typical of Nyonya cuisine.

Large freshwater prawns (udang galah) are used in this exquisite dish. Their juicy meat pairs perfectly with the curry!

Dried shrimp chili elevates the Nyonya Laksa to greater heights. Add a spoonful if you welcome the additional spiciness.

Japanese Delicacies
At the Japanese section, sashimi is sliced off the tuna. Today’s fish is considered small by Mandarin Oriental standards — during the actual Christmas feast, the tuna will be much larger!

Several types of sushi and sashimi are presented, much to the delight of people who love Japanese food.

The rice used to prepare sushi is of superb quality. The vinegared rice grains bind well to keep each piece aesthetically appealing.

Sushi condiments include wasabi, sweet soy sauce and tsukemono (Japanese pickles).

Cold Delights
A variety of hors d’oeuvre is prepared by the cold kitchen. These small plates are meant to delight the palate without being surfeiting.

First, the Boston Lobster Salad is served with lentils, orange wedges, edamame and frisée.

Next, savor the Seared Tuna Tiradito with Micro Herbs. The sesame coating enhances the overall enjoyment.

Grilled Spring Vegetables Terrine is a sound choice for vegetarians. Its layered texture keeps the vegetables fresh and crunchy.

As for Green Asparagus & Mozzarella Salad, the duo blends surprisingly well with each other.

Sweet Wonderland
The desserts section is a wonderland of sugary indulgence. Diners can satisfy their sweet tooth on festive confections of different shapes and sizes.

A Season of Joy
Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur’s festive buffet is available for dinner on Christmas Eve, and for lunch on Christmas Day. The buffet spread covers three venues: Mosaic, Lounge on the Park and Diamond Ballroom. The yuletide feast here will be among the largest in the city!

Head over to Lounge on the Park if you seek for a relaxing place to spend the afternoon. The Sparkling Afternoon Tea here includes savories and sweets in a tiered stand, paired with a glass of sparkling tea. The fizzy drink has a crisp profile that reflects the magic of the holidays.

Meanwhile, the award-winning The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur invites holidaymakers to pamper themselves with a restorative Festive Bliss Journey. The therapy consists of a 60-minute aromatherapy massage, followed by a 30-minute facial.
