Golden Blossom Set Menu – A Feast for 6 to 8 Guests
During the tasting session, we were treated to the Golden Blossom Set Menu. This course meal is perfect for groups of 6 to 8 guests.
Toss of Prosperity and Longevity: Prosperity Salmon Yee Sang
No Chinese New Year celebration is complete without the traditional Yee Sang toss! This set menu features a unique twist with Salmon Yee Sang.
One of the dressings is specially created by Chef Lai Chan Meng. Concocted from strawberries and Ribena (blackcurrant juice), the tangy sauce starts the meal on the right foot.
House Full of Good Fortune: Eight Treasure Seafood Soup
Indulge in the sumptuous Eight Treasure Seafood Soup, a flavorful blend of exquisite marine ingredients.
Golden Opportunities: Kung Pao Beef with Cashew Nuts
Chef Meng’s Kung Pao Beef with Cashew Nuts is a testament to his culinary skills.
The beef is tender and juicy, and is topped with crunchy cashew nuts. The taste is quite savory and has a hint of spiciness.
Family Togetherness: Char Siu Chicken with Special Sauce
The Char Siu Chicken is Chef Lai’s signature dish. It is flavored with a special barbecue sauce, which gives the poultry dish a rich and satisfying impression on the palate. Do not miss this succulent dish!
Plentiful of Laughter and Happiness: Butter Prawn
Butter Prawn is infused with fragrant aroma of curry leaves. The lovely spice mix makes the prawn shells so tasty!
Abundance of Wealth: Deep Fried Barramundi (Siakap) with Sweet & Sour Sauce
The crispy Siakap fish is coated with a sweet and sour sauce, enhancing its natural flavors.
Healthy and Prosperous Year: Stir Fried Broccoli with Mushrooms and Bean Puff
This vegetarian dish highlights the freshness and juiciness of black mushrooms.
Infinite Happiness: Yong Chow Fried Rice with Brined Fish
Seasoned with morsels of salted fish, this classic Chinese fried rice is garnished with fresh lettuce on the side.
Sweetness of Spring: Sea Coconut with Dry Longan and Snow Fungus
Moving on to desserts, this crowd-favorite concludes the meal on a sweet and refreshing note.
Continuous Growth and Good Fortune: Steamed Nian Gao with Fresh Grated Coconut
The sweet soup is best paired with steamed glutinous rice cake called “nian gao”. Nian gao is considered auspicious as it symbolizes one achieving greater heights in the new year.
Here are the four set menus that Dorsett Hartamas offers from now till 24 February 2024. Beef can be replaced with chicken upon request.
