In effort to breathe new life into its F&B offering, Moxy Putrajaya partners with coffee artisan hétam to introduce a new series of cofftails. These refreshing beverages are currently being offered at the rooftop Moxy Bar.

What’s a Cofftail?
Cofftail (portmanteau of the words “coffee” and “cocktail”) is the newest craze in town. This innovative drink is prepared from espresso coffee instead of alcohol, making it perfect for sober gatherings like coffee raves. The collaboration between Moxy Putrajaya and hétam takes this idea one step further by incorporating local flavors like pandan and mango.

For the debut today, Moxy Bar is presenting four cofftails with unique characters. Each cofftail recipe is crafted to complement specific items at the concurrent hi-tea buffet. From time to time, more cofftail variants will be introduced as the mixologists discover new ways to tantalize the taste buds.

Emas
The cofftail Emas (meaning “gold” in Malay) infuses espresso with the unbeatable sweetness of “harum manis” mango, a prized cultivar found only in Perlis. The fruity drink is crowned with fresh mango cubes and foam made from mango sticky rice.

This aromatic indulgence serves as an effective palate cleanser. It goes especially well with Grilled Chicken Sausage with BBQ Sauce.

Emas also works nicely with Signature Pad Kra Pao Chicken Wrap, as the sweet mango and vanilla syrup cut through spicy filling of the wrap.

Khatulistiwa
Khatulistiwa is named after the equator, reflecting the fact that the cofftail is packed with vibrant tropical zest. The ice-shaken drink is concocted from espresso, Harum Manis mango, pineapple and passion fruit. It is garnished with rosemary sprig and dried orange slice for a fragrant finish.

What goes well with Khatulistiwa? For starters, you may opt for Fritto di Mare with Tartar Sauce!

Seri Muka / Puteri
Seri Muka is inspired by the namesake dessert that consists of pandan custard and glutinous rice layers. The cofftail transforms the traditional Malay kuih into a drinkable form, retaining its pandan fragrance while introducing espresso into the mix. Near the rim are sea-salt pandan foam, pandan leaf and toasted coconut flakes.

What is the best way to enjoy the soothing Seri Muka cofftail? We recommend having it with Mix & Match Sandwich.

Seri Muka also works wonders with luxurious Durian Pancake. Coconut milk in the former harmonizes with rich filling of the latter, ensuring that durian does not overpower the palate.

Gemilang
Gemilang is a nod to the Jalur Gemilang flag. The drink is a concoction of rose syrup, pineapple juice, butterfly-pea tea and longan, all held together by a shot of ristretto. Just like the Malaysian national flag, the cofftail comprises of four colors: red, white, blue and yellow.

The fizzy Gemilang naturally works with dishes that involve spicy gravies like Rojak Kueh and Mee Johor.

If you enjoy earthy dishes like Kerang Curry Mee, have a sip of Gemilang afterwards to see how it fares. We appreciate how the tangy pineapple juice neutralizes the intense spiciness of the curry.
