This month, Le Méridien Petaling Jaya collaborates with HL Dragon Fruit Eco Farm to present the Buffet in Bloom – Pink October Series Weekend High Tea Buffet. In support of breast cancer awareness, the hotel will donate part of the buffet proceeds (RM 1 for each diner) to the Pink Ribbon Wellness Foundation.

Held at Pasar Baru, the buffet spread is a feast for the eyes and the palate! The hotel’s culinary team has crafted an extensive menu of dishes using pink ingredients like dragon fruits, beet roots and strawberries.

Creative Starters
Off the bat, the buffet delights the eyes with appetizers in different shades of pink.

Savory Snacks
The stunning color of dragon fruits is seamlessly woven into savory snacks too. For example, Lemongrass Chicken Percik takes a creative license on the classic percik recipe. The snack is coated with dragon fruit glaze which adds a hint of fruity sweetness.

Signature Mains
The main dishes are also given a pinky makeover. The Crispy Tiger Prawns are a good example. These succulent shrimps are generously coated in sweet dragon glaze made of dragon fruits. Besides enhancing the visual appeal, the thick glaze also imparts irresistible sweetness to the prawns.

Dragon-Braised Herb Chicken with Wild Forest Mushrooms is another surprising creation. The chicken is slow-braised using dragon fruit juice which tenderizes the meat. Served with mushrooms, the dish offers an earthy profile balanced by fruity undertones.

Pan-Seared Salmon with Creamy Pink Dragon Fruit Sauce is highly recommended too. This elegant dish harmoniously combines salmon fillets with creamy dragon fruit emulsion, creating a striking contrast of colors and flavors.

Fancy some shellfish? Siput Rawa Masak Lemak Nenas easily captures your attention with its lovely appearance. The appeal is not limited to aesthetics — the gravy is satisfying too!

The Pink Blush Garlic Fried Rice offers an interesting twist with its alluring hue. A staple made unique, this rice dish perfectly ties other signature mains together.

Classic Gourmet
Beyond the vibrant pink series, the menu includes local and international favorites to complete the high tea experience.

Delightful Sides

Desserts Extravaganza
The desserts section embodies the pinnacle of the “Buffet in Bloom” theme. Dragon fruits, strawberries and other pink ingredients are featured prominently in these classic treats.

Le Méridien’s signature Le Scoop ice cream is available too. This month, you can cool down with a scoop of dragon fruit-flavored ice cream!

In addition, enjoy some cut fruits including dragon fruits that are directly sourced from HL Dragon Fruit Eco Farm.

Refreshing Beverages
As for drinks, the high tea menu keeps things classic yet themed. Embrace the Pink October theme with a glass of freshly squeezed dragon fruit juice.

Other beverages include coffee, tea and juices.

Group Booking Special
Parties with 4 or more diners will be given a Jumbo Dragon Bun, a signature dish from HL Dragon Fruit Eco Farm. The bun is pink in color because it contains dragon fruit extract.

Inside the Jumbo Dragon Bun is a sealed pouch of chicken and potato curry. If you are unable to finish this oversized bun, just ask the staff for a takeaway box! At home, you may reheat the bun with a convection oven. Do not use microwave ovens because the aluminum foil inside can get overheated.

A Moment for the Kids
Recognizing that high tea is a cherished family affair, there is a small play area set up at a corner of Pasar Baru.

In addition, the buffet counter includes children-friendly food items like chocolate candies, cotton candy and popcorn.
