This article is part of our Christmas 2025 series.
As 2025 draws to a close, Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur Managed by Banyan Tree welcomes the year-end holiday season of joy, togetherness and celebration.

In the true spirit of Christmas, gather your loved ones for a homely feast — at one of the most scenic spots in Kuala Lumpur!

The centerpiece of the hotel’s celebration is at The Courtyard. Diner can celebrate the festive cheer with a lavish buffet spread thoughtfully designed to bring warmth to the holiday table.

The festive menu is curated Chef de Cuisine Baranitharan, who elevates the traditional buffet spread with a distinctive fine-dining touch. This approach is evident in the delicate and artistic presentation this evening.

King Crab
The undisputed star on the menu is the King Crab. Look at its enormous size. The crab is not called the “king” for nothing!

Served in its freshest form, King Crab allows guests to savor its pristine, natural flavors.

Truffle Mania
How often do you encounter truffles served in a buffet settling? At Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur, this exquisite delicacy is brought to your dining table! Upon request, the chef can shave fresh truffles over your dish.
Truffles are nestled in a bed of rice grains to absorb moisture and prevent mold.
They should be shaved fresh just before eating to preserve their delicate, volatile aromas.

For the ultimate gastronomic experience, try pairing truffles with Roast Chicken stuffed with foie gras!

Fresh truffles also go particularly well with pizzas. There are several different toppings to choose from.

Salmon Gravlax
If you love salmon, you must savor some Salmon Gravlax. The gravlax comes in several types of marinade, all prepared in-house. Try them all and decide which one you like most!

Festive Roasts
The carving station presents premium roast meats with classic accompaniments like Yorkshire puddings. Giblet gravy and Pommery mustard are prepared too.

Hot Dishes
Pan-Seared Seabass offers delicate, buttery texture with subtle briny pops of caviar.

Chilled Seafood
This section allows diners to indulge in the ocean’s finest bounty.

Cold Cuts & Cheeses

Japanese Counter
Diners who love Japanese food will appreciate the special counter that serves fresh sushi and sashimi.

Live Stations
Besides the indoor section of the restaurant, take some time to explore the al fresco courtyard too. Here is where several live-action food stations await.

First, check out the whole lamb being roasted over a fire pit. The center remains slightly pink — just the way we love it!

Satay is available in three versions: beef, mutton and chicken. These skewered meats are best enjoyed with peanut sauce.

As for seafood, the chef cooks prawns, fish, squids and mussels upon ordering.

You may also take this opportunity to “catch” some live tiger prawns from the water tank.

Chicken, beef, smoked duck and sausages are also available to order.

For a taste of Malaysian street food, try the à la minute Char Kuey Teow right here!

This Penang-style noodle dish is prepared one plate at a time. We highly recommend that you ask for extra cockles!

À la minute pasta is available too. Available sauces are pomodoro, alfredo (Grana Padano cheese sauce) and truffle.

Craving for burgers? Chicken and beef patties are offered here. The burgers are miniature-sized, so they do not take much space in your stomach.

Claypot Curry Lamb is popular too. Start by choosing your favorite lamb cuts: ribs, shanks or tendon.

The chef will then cook your choices in rich, flavorful curry. Served in a claypot, the dish remains hot for a long time.

Comforting Soups
At the noodle station, you may pick your preferred ingredients like prawns, squids and mussels. Several types of soup are prepared.

Kids’ Corner
The buffet spread includes a Kids’ Corner with finger foods like fried chicken, fish & chips and French fries. Now children can also join the Christmas cheer!

Dessert Pavilion
Of course, desserts play a crucial role in the yuletide feast. Satisfy your sweet tooth with a mouthwatering range of pastries.
