To herald the fast-approaching Year of the Horse, Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, City Centre hosts a Chinese New Year media preview filled with vibrant festivities.

The atmosphere shifts into a high-energy celebration as guests participate in the customary tossing of yee sang.

The festive feast is held in Sichuan Kitchen, the hotel’s in-house restaurant that specializes in authentic Chinese cuisine and Sichuan-style hot pots.

Sichuan Kitchen is helmed by Chef Justin Song, a native of Ya’an in Sichuan Province. Chef Justin has over two decades of culinary experience, having worked in many prestigious hotels across China.

Prosperity Treasure Yee Sang

The Prosperity Treasure Yee Sang is available for both dine-in and takeaway. Diners can choose between fresh slices of salmon and crispy soft-shell crabs.

The innovation extends to the dressing. While the traditional sweet plum-based sauce remains a staple, the restaurant also offers a special sauce that imparts aromatic heat characteristic of Sichuan.

Spice of Prosperity: Chinese New Year Set

Running from 2 February 2026 to 3 March 2026, the Spice of Prosperity Chinese New Year Set Menu offers a progression of flavors to honor the nuances of Sichuan cuisine.

For those seeking the pinnacle of communal celebration, the hotel offers an expansive private dining experience tailored for larger groups of ten to twelve people.

Starting with appetizers, the tossing of Yee Sang symbolizes soaring heights in the new year.

The culinary journey proceeds to cold dishes to prime your palate for the meal ahead.

Spice of Prosperity: Reunion Hot Pot Dinner Buffet

Beyond the structured elegance of the set menus, Sichuan Kitchen also introduces a more interactive way to celebrate Chinese New Year—The Reunion Hot Pot Dinner Buffet is available from 16 February 2026 to 18 February 2026.

Guests can select any two types of soup from a list that includes Sichuan Mala, Abalone, Truffle Mushroom, Tomato and Coconut Chicken.

The buffet experience begins with Sichuan-style cold dishes.

Meanwhile, the seafood section offers slipper lobsters, barramundi, flower crabs and tiger prawns.

Specialized homemade pastes offer a savory depth to the simmering broth. They are made from shrimp, fish or squid.

The buffet spread is further complemented by a variety of vegetables and mushrooms.

With over a dozen condiments to choose from, guests can craft their personalized dipping sauces tailored perfectly to their palate.

The hot pot experience concludes on a cooling note with desserts!
