This article is part of our Chinese New Year 2026 series.
To celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Horse, Lemon Garden at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur is hosting an opulent Feast of Prosperity Buffet.

Running from 12 January to 3 March 2026, the experience is set within a refreshed, vibrant ambience that now includes an extended tented alfresco dining area.

This lively atmosphere serves as the perfect backdrop for family reunions and celebrations of abundance.

The celebration usually begins with Yee Sang, a traditional prosperity toss consisting of colorful shredded ingredients to symbolize good fortune.

During the buffet, guests can enjoy a personalized experience by visiting the dedicated self-service Yee Sang station to assemble their own platter.

The customized Yee Sang platter can be brought back to the table for a lively prosperity toss, allowing friends and family to enjoy a more intimate and personalized reunion during the festive celebrations.

The culinary journey features a meticulously curated selection of Chinese New Year specialties that blend tradition with luxury.

Diners can start the feast by warming their palates with the Double-Boiled Soup of the Day.

A standout specialty is the Double Boiled Matsutake Mushroom, Sea Cucumber & Dried Oyster Soup, which features an earthy flavor profile from premium dried delicacies.

Besides the festive specialty Prosperity Steamed Grouper with Truffle Soy Sauce, the Sustainable Steamed Cod Fish with Soy Sauce, Spring Onion & Garlic Oil is another dish you must not miss!

Moving along the seafood selection, the Golden Nestum Jumbo Tiger Prawn is a crowd favorite, wok-tossed for a perfect balance of sweet butter and crunchy cereal.

Take note of the impressive size of the jumbo tiger prawn, which truly provides a meaty, satisfying crunch in every bite.

For those seeking deep, symbolic flavors, the Braised Mushroom with Fish Stomach, Sea Cucumber, Abalone & Vegetables represents a wealth of ingredients simmered until tender and flavorful.

The feast continues with hearty favorites such as the Glutinous Rice with Chinese Sausage & Sakura Prawn, a fragrant dish that signifies sticking together as a family.

The Prosperity Eight Treasure Duck is a festive masterpiece that involves slow-cooking the duck with eight diverse auspicious ingredients.

Lighter options include the Stir-Fried Canadian Scallops with Baby Kailan, showcasing the natural sweetness of premium shellfish and tender greens.

In addition to the extensive spread, don’t forget to enjoy the steaming hot dim sum sourced directly from the renowned Shang Palace.

To round off the celebration, guests can indulge in a variety of seasonal treats from the vibrant festive dessert spread.

The Spring Blossom Osmanthus & Peach Mousse Cake provides a delicate floral finish to the meal with its light texture.

Rich chocolate lovers can indulge in the Mandarin Orange Chocolate, which pairs the citrus notes of the season with dark cocoa.

The dessert display is completed by a visually stunning Mandarin Macaroon Tower, featuring stacks of festive-themed French confections.

Beyond the Chinese New Year specialties, the buffet remains true to Lemon Garden’s reputation for variety. Since this is a full buffet experience, diners can also explore a vast selection of Malay, Indian, and International cuisines.

Complementing the festive offerings, the Japanese station features a fresh selection that includes chilled soba, assorted sushi, and premium sashimi.

For those who love a warm, flavorful bowl of noodles, you can enjoy a bowl of authentic Nyonya Curry Laksa or Crab Meat Soup at the noodle station.

For those craving Western cuisine, the buffet also features a selection of freshly made pizzas, pulled hot from the oven with a variety of classic toppings to enjoy.

To round off the celebration on a sweet note, the dessert spread offers a delightful variety of treats that cater to every palate.

For those who enjoy variety, the dessert section also includes assorted Nyonya Kuih and warm desserts.
